Visual and musical culture

Last weeks in class of Comunication we were talking about the musical and visual culture. We made some activities with Sara and we realised these are different and interesting ways to teach and learn at schools.
The first class she told us about a creative project  where children could learn to analyze artworks .Sara explained how children developed their creativity and imagination through this activity. We made in class an example of that.We divided in groups and Sara gave us some artworks to analyze and made questions about it.We explained each other what the artwork transmited us.
We learnt how we can interpret the same artwork from different points of view. This is a good activity to develop the children’s creativity. They can express what they feel when they look at the artworks and why they feel there.Teachers also can learn with the children’s vision of the word.
The next class we practised the musical culture. We listened a sound story and then, we had to express what was happened in that story. We created similiar stories only with the sounds we had heard.
(Here there is an example of a sound narrative.)

We realised the importance of music and art. These are everywhere and we should know it’s very useful for children. We can teach them to approach art by a dynamic and fun way and children can learn new vocabulary, to develop their critical thinking, to express their feelings, to analyze artworks or musical works, to develop their creativity, etc.
